Mr. Landers' passion for the Martial Arts led him down many paths with studies in Judo, old school Kenpo Karate, Taekwondo, BKF Kenpo, Kajukenbo and Eskrima a Filipino Martial Arts.

He would dedicate his life to the true understanding of motion, and its cause and effects in action; "Why do we do what we do in motion, and how can we acheive maximum effectiveness, with the least amount of effort, from that action".

Mr. Landers studies included a deep understand of the rich history of Samurai. He became a highly skilled swordsman, respected for his abilities to control a devastating weapon, like the samurai sword.

From the 1960's - 1980's, as a top martial arts competitor, Mr. Landers captured numerous local and national titles, as he traveled from the west coast, to the east coast, competing in Traditional and Open competition, as a Fighter, and Weapons Form competitor.

The 1970's introduced Full-Contact to the Knock-Out martial art competition. Frank Landers was one of the first to make the ring his home, as a professional fighter, from 1974-76, retiring from the ring undefeated.

With a passion for sharing his knowledge, in 1976 Mr. Landers opened his first training studio, and has continued teaching and training students thru today.

The entertaiment business took notice and Mr. Landers quickly became known as, the Trainer to the Hollywood Stars, with top TV and Film Stars as clients.

Through out the 1970's Mr. Landers appeared in numerous Hollywood entertainment publications and martial arts magazines.

As Mr. Landers training studio grew, he begin promoting small local martial arts tournaments, in the Southern CA. area. For the next 20 years, Mr. Landers reputations as a promoter, allowed him to host bigger events, from Southern to Northern California.

Mr. Landers appeared on "Good Morning Show" with Host Regis Philbin in 1979, to perform an incredible demonstration of skill with a samurai sword, while being blindfolded.

Mr. Landers is one of only three known at the time, that could perform such a demonstration; three subjects holding watermelons pressed against their stomachs as Mr. Landers blindfolded, slices completely through each one with a Samurai Sword. To-date Mr. Landers is the only person to slice a watermelon off a notable person like Regis Philbin "On Live TV" with a Samurai Sword while blindfolded.

By the 1980's, Mr. Landers combined his highly develop battle tested skills of these martial arts styles into his own path forward, calling his system "Seishindo Kenpo" a martial art system of self protection, which utilizes the body’s natural weapons and encompasses, a modified version of the Filipino Art of Eskrima.

In September of 1985, Mr. Landers, wanting to give back to his community, enrolled himself into the Rio Hondo Police Academy, graduating on May 22, 1986.

4 months later, the Landers moved to the Central Coast of California, where he was hired by Arroyo Grande PD as a Reserve Police Officer for the City of Arroyo Grande, California.
